Why Breakfast is Important

Most of tends to miss breakfast in the morning, it’s either not in the mood to eat or I’m late for work I’ll eat during my morning break at mid morning. If you are one these people described, then you are missing a big trick here.

Let me explain breakfast is key, when you are sleeping you don’t eat at this period of time your body will be fasting leaving yourself hungry in the morning. Now if you don’t eat a thing your body will respond and release glycogen (carbohydrates) stored from the liver as it thinks your body is in a life-threatening situation. This will raise your blood sugar levels and this will lead to the pancreas releasing insulin – bringing your sugar levels below your optimal level as your blood sugar doesn’t like to be so high, keep repeating this you’ll always feel tired in the morning and can lead to over eating later in the day as well as bingeing during the day. This is one of the reasons why you shouldn’t skip breakfast.

Another reason why breakfast is important if you fasted for so long, your body will release lipogenic enzymes, which are your fat storing enzymes if they increase you will be losing your lipolytic enzymes which are your fat burning enzymes. So if you don’t want to put on fat – start eating breakfast to increase fat burning enzymes straight away.

Couple more benefits breakfast can give for you: -

  • Your unlikely to snack on junk food
  • Feel more energised and focused for the day
  • You will be healthier and leaner
  • You’ll lower the risk with health problems e.g. diabetes

Start eating your breakfast now and reap the benefits to your health and fitness lifestyle.

The Best Fuel for your Body

I always get asked what is the best food to eat for healthy living lifestyle.  Here are my answers.

  • We all should treat our body like a car. If you want your car to run properly you need to put in the right fuel. For example let say the car is our body and we run on petrol if you was to feed the car with diesel then it won’t work same applies for our body. If we was to eat fast food (diesel) like McDonalds, Burger King, KFC and many others our body wouldn’t be functioning correctly which can lead to sluggish, dull, moody and tiredness effects.

We should be eating free-range organic food, it is like saying if I put good quality fuel into my body and will be functioning correctly than rubbish food costing. I highly recommend www.abelandcole.co.uk

  • We run our fuel like a supercar! So we burn our fuel very quickly especially good quality food. So you need to eat and snack every 2 – 3 hours, keep your portion sizes till you feel settled and never splurge on big meals. If you are one of those people who thinks I’ll leave 5-hour or even longer gaps before the next meal, so I won’t put on weight are completely WRONG! Your body will just burn your muscles off and you will be left with your flabby self if you were to carry on like this.

I hope these tips help you understand more efficient ways to achieve the body you want a lot better.  Remember better quality food will improve your health and wellbeing and achieving goals drastically quicker

Achieving the body you want!

Eating meals & snacks slowly – One of the most common eating habits for people who are overweight is that they eat too QUICKLY and not chewing their food properly.  The result of this is people eating more than they need.  So slowing down your eating will really benefit those quick eaters amongst us. Try to aim at chewing your food at least 21 times this should last 20 – 30 seconds, or try and put your cutlery down after every bite and cut down your portion sizes.

Regular exercises and activity – Our body is designed for one thing – to move. Resistance training is fantastic, using weights. It will boost your metabolism and burn fat even quicker! Ladies don’t worry you won’t become the Hulk as you don’t have the testosterone like men, so you’ll more likely to be toning and reshaping your body.  If you find the gym intimidating you need to find a hobby that you’ll enjoy doing to keep you active. Playing sports on a regular basis is a fantastic way to burn plenty of calories whilst having fun in the same time. Aim to be active 30 minutes every day.

Reducing sugars and stimulants – Sure it taste good, it gives you short time of energy boost, but after you will feel a sugar crash. Why does this happen? Well our body quickly releases a rush of a hormone called insulin, which picks your blood sugar level to it highest, then it rapidly lowers your blood sugar levels and can cause a significant drop in energy. This is why we have what we called sugar craving you will just want to crave for more to boost your energy and would just lead to a crash.

Excess sugar consumption can lead to a whole host of health problems if you carry on this can lead to: diabetes, frequent headaches, migraines, tooth decay, poor immunity, lack of concentration, mood swings and, of course obesity. Try to get rid of it.
